How does it work?
ASIC Technology based our HOME UPS protects the batteries by sensing the battery and limiting the charging current. It regulates the charging current based on battery condition at each level of charging. The battery charging process of Genus ASIC technology goes in five stages:
This stage ensures the maximum allowed charging to battery and try to level the battery voltage at a specific level. At this stage continuous constant charging current is given to battery at constant voltage which ensures speedy charging.
Once the battery boost voltage level is achieved it activates the taper mode which ensures the electrolyte gravity reaches a specific level.
In float stage, the charger keeps the charging voltage and current level at its trickle charging set point with minimum charging current 1 Amp.
The boost mode gets activated once the battery voltage reaches to the specific voltage. If the battery voltage is up to 20% more than its rated voltage, charging current is reduced to 50% of bulk charging.
Pulse (reset) Stage:
This stage ensures the charging of battery at trickle level in interval to maintain the float level.
