Genus Innovation shifts from utility to lifestyle with 'Alag Soch' strategy

Genus Innovation Limited is pivoting away from conventional, specification-heavy power backup messaging to position its flagship MaxiLion and hybrid solar inverter ranges as intelligent home energy platforms. Speaking on the strategy behind the company’s "Alag Soch" campaign, Yash Todi, Director and Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, outlined how evolving residential power demands—spanning remote work, home automation, and sustainable living—are transforming consumer expectations from seasonal emergency backup toward year-round, connected energy management.

To drive adoption of high-efficiency lithium technology and hybrid solar solutions, Genus is restructuring its market positioning to frame energy storage as a tech-forward lifestyle investment rather than an emergency utility purchase. Todi emphasized that the company’s forward-looking product roadmap—backed by its Energy Storage System (ESS) and Renewable Energy Management Systems (REMS) portfolios—focuses on delivering zero-maintenance operations, integrated solar optimization, real-time app-based intelligence, and modern product aesthetics designed to integrate seamlessly into contemporary residential spaces.

In this conversation with Adgully, Yash Todi, Director & Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, Genus Innovation Ltd., shared share insights on the campaign's journey, changing consumer behaviour, and the broader transformation underway in India's smart energy ecosystem. Know More
